Bar None by Tim Lebbon is a quietly paced book, but don't let that deceive you. It's the tale of a group of survivors of the apocalypse, and their struggle to get from their hide-out in South Wales, to the last pub in the world, Bar None, set in distant Cornwall. It's also frighteningly accurate in its notes about fine ales, as this book is about wonderful beers as well. I'm sure there's a drinking game to be played in reading it. I'd attempt to knock up some rules for a drinking game, but I'd be too busy enjoying fine ales to get round to it.... This is one of Tim Lebbon's finest works yet.
