A Bard for Worcestershire! Worcester Literary Festival's Worcestershire Poet Laureate Competition Final

It came as a great surprise last week to find I am through to the final of the annual search for the Worcestershire Poet Laureate to be selected and on Friday 15 June, 2012, at the Swan Theatre, Worcester. I'm up against some amazing and talented competition, as can be seen here by checking out the biographies of the various other fabulous competitors. The final begins at 7:30pm, and tickets are £8 (£6 concessions). For reference, my biography is listed there thus:
Damon Lord – Worcester
Damon Lord is probably the only entrant in this competition who can speak Esperanto fluently. He has been writing since the age of six. Originally from Wales, he has called Worcester his home since 2008. When not writing, he likes to learn obscure languages, and may even sometimes be observed holding down a day-job in IT.
See you there!
